Pace of Play

"Ready Golf" is a variation of golf rules which speeds play and allows all levels of players to golf together.  These rules are VERY IMPORTANT for all of us to follow.

1.  KEEP YOUR FOURSOME MOVING!!!!  Tee off as soon as the group in front of you is a safe distance ahead.  If you are not keeping up with the group in front of you, you are playing too slowly.  DO NOT KEEP PLAYERS BEHIND YOU WAITING if you can move ahead.

2.  Tee off in the order you are ready.  No "honor" system or other system is used.

3.  Fairway shots can be taken in ready order whenever safety allows.  Otherwise, the farthest from the hole shoots first.

4.  LIMIT PRACTICE SWINGS TO ONE.

5.  If you are at the middle of the fairway (halfway to the green) and you already have 5 strokes, pick up your ball and take your maximum score for that hole.

6.  Count all strokes in your score including "whiffs", "duffs", and topped balls.

7.  Lost balls:  allow no more than 1-2 minutes to search for a ball.  Add 1 stroke penalty to your score for a lost ball.

8.  On the green, putt in "ready order", not by "distance from the hole order."  Be careful not to step on anyone's line.

9.  At the green, park your cart BEHIND the green at a location closest to the next tee.

10. On the scorecard, write down the time you tee off from the first tee.  Spend no more than 15 MINUTES per hole. At the end of nine holes write down the time you finish.  Nine holes of golf should take no longer than 2 hours, 15 minutes.
